Job summary

Gilchrist Hospice Care, Inc. seeks compassionate Night Shift Hospice Nurses for overnight teams serving Towson and Baltimore areas. Join a mission-driven, supportive nursing staff delivering exceptional end-of-life care.

Responsibilities include providing quality nursing care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Candidates must have ADN/BSN, Maryland RN license, and 2 years of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN from an accredited program.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Knowledge of infection control and patient safety.
• Ability to work nights and handle emotional situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to patients with life-limiting illness and support families.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement a patient-directed plan of care.
• Evaluate patient/family response to intervention and modify care plans as needed.
• Provide patient and family education on care and infection control.
• Document care accurately in EMR and forms to maintain a written record.
• Participate in Quality Improvement to improve patient care quality.
• Supervise and direct Patient Care Partners and volunteers as needed.
• Attend to patient and family at the time of death.
