Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Night Shift Hospice Aide (Inpatient) to deliver essential personal care to patients in an inpatient hospice setting at Gilchrist Towson, under RN supervision. The role focuses on dignity, comfort, and compassionate end-of-life care.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience; nursing program enrollment is accepted in lieu of experience. Hospice experience and ability to work independently are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of previous experience.
• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program accepted in lieu of experience.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Previous experience with dying patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, oral hygiene, feeding, repositioning and linen changes.
• Attend to patient/family requests promptly and report changes to supervising nurse.
• Assist with safety, comfort, and daily activities as directed by the Hospice Nurse or Clinical Partner.
• Support with ambulation and transfer procedures and basic observation of patient condition.
• Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and assist with light housekeeping as needed.
