Job summary

Carvana is seeking a boots-on-the-ground Safe & Secure team member in Blue Mound, TX to protect associates, customers and vehicles across a 24/7 facility. You’ll cover gate duty, conduct safety audits, perform vehicle scans, and respond to incidents with calm, decisive action.

This hourly position reports to the Safe & Secure Lead and requires strong communication. Requirements include 1–2 years in customer service, ability to multitask, and capability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a customer service environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• A track record of solid decision-making in a complex, fast-moving environment.
• Ability to build strong working relationships and connect with people quickly.
• Ability to organize, plan, and execute multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle conflict in a positive, productive way.

Responsibilities

• Lead with a service-first mindset in every interaction.
• Be the face of Carvana at the gate for associates, vendors, and visitors.
• Monitor live cameras and investigate intrusion alerts to keep the site secure.
• De-escalate and partner with others to resolve issues quickly.
• Run point at the gate using the SAS App and RFID tech, enforcing procedures.
• Manage and document vehicle movement through gates and inspection areas.
• Be trained in first aid, CPR, and AED and use when needed.
• Keep the site operational in all weather by following safety protocols.
• Deliver detailed operational reports to leadership.
