Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Manager Manufacturing (Downstream) - Night Shift to lead on-shift teams in a 12-hour rotation at our FleX Batch facility. This role emphasizes safe, compliant production and hands-on leadership within a high-performance team.

You will drive Lean initiatives, manage staff development, and ensure alignment with production goals while collaborating across QA/QC, F&E, PPIC and Regulatory groups in a dynamic biotechnology setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Life Sciences or Engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of process experience in a cGMP manufacturing facility.
• Strong leadership skills in biotechnology production operations.
• Experience with regulatory and quality systems (cGMP) and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing teams on a 12-hour shift to support 24/7 operations.
• Champion Lean and continuous improvement on the floor.
• Coach and develop staff through training and mentorship.
• Collaborate with QA/QC, Regulatory and other cross-functional teams.
