Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Manager of Manufacturing (Downstream) for the Day Shift at its state-of-the-art FleX Batch facility. You will lead on-shift teams, champion Lean practices, and ensure safe, compliant production of GMP drug substances in a high-pace environment.

You will oversee staff development, training programs, and performance management while aligning with production schedules and facility goals. Strong regulatory and quality systems collaboration is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Masters, Bachelor, or 2+ years of related managerial experience with relevant manufacturing/operations exposure
• Experience in a cGMP manufacturing facility and strong leadership
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and drive continuous improvement
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee 12-hour day/night shift operations on the manufacturing floor
• Lead and develop teams of manufacturing associates toward safety and quality goals
• Implement Lean principles and continuous improvement projects on the floor
• Manage budgets, staffing, training, and performance reviews
• Collaborate with QA/QC, EHS, and regulatory bodies as needed
