Job summary

Forward Air Corp. is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to safely load, unload, stage, and move freight in a multimodal terminal or warehouse. You will use sit-down/stand-up forklifts and other MHE, maintain documentation, and support dock productivity.

The role requires certification, 3+ years of dock or warehouse experience, and the ability to operate under OSHA guidelines. Shift schedule includes Sundays 12 PM–8:30 PM and Mon/ Tue/ Wed/ Fri 3:45 PM–11 PM, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain before operating equipment.
• Experience in dock/warehouse environment is required or preferred.
• Ability to communicate safety and operational instructions effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight using sit-down/stand-up forklifts and reach trucks, and other MHE.
• Move, stage, sort, and position freight between dock doors, trailers, and designated areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare items for shipping and delivery.
• Assist drivers with loading and unloading following safety procedures.
• Label, scan, and track freight using handheld devices and company systems.
