Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a Staff Nurse Inpatient who delivers comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to acutely ill adults using the nursing process and ANA standards. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while coordinating with families and health-team members.

The role requires BSN (or ADN with commitment to BSN within three years), current RN licensure, and BLS; ER-specific certifications (ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC) within one year may apply.

Qualifications

• BSN required or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years of first day of employment in clinical nurse role.
• Registered Nurse licensure in the state where work occurs.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ER requires ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year; Pediatric ER requires TNCC within one year; Non-invasive cardiology may require ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Collects and analyzes data, identifies expected outcomes, develops and implements an individualized plan, coordinates care delivery and evaluates progress toward attainment of outcomes.
• Directs care and utilizes nursing staff appropriately in delivering direct patient care.
• Collaborates with patients, families, physicians, and staff to document plans focused on outcomes and care delivery.
