Northwestern Medicine invites applications for an inpatient Staff Nurse position. The role provides patient care to acutely ill individuals, coordinating with physicians and the health team per the nursing process across assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN (ADN with commitment to BSN accepted) with RN licensure in Illinois, BLS, and ER certifications (ACLS, PALS, TNCC) within one year of hire. Collaborative, evidence-based practice is expected.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within three years.
• Registered Nurse licensure in Illinois.
• BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/TNCC within one year for ER roles.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for acutely ill patients.
• Coordinate care with physicians, family and health team members.
• Direct care and supervise nursing assistants involved in direct patient care.
• Document plan and patient outcomes in the health record.
• Participate in shared governance, committee work and unit projects.
