Job summary

Wellstar Health System is hiring a Patient Flow Coordinator (RN) for the Emergency Department in Grovetown, GA. This full-time night-shift position (7 pm - 7 am) includes weekend Premier differential and duties focused on optimizing patient flow, safety and throughput in a high-demand ED setting.

You will lead patient placement, coordinate with ED teams and support performance improvement initiatives while supervising staff and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and Wellstar policies.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency with desktop computer.
• Willingness to be a team-player and a self-starter.
• Proficiency obtaining vital signs using manual processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure care respects patient rights, preferences and expectations.
• Participate in policy/formulation related to patient flow goals.
• Provide staff performance feedback to ED leadership.
• Routinely round in triage, waiting rooms and patient rooms to oversee flow.
• Serve as liaison between Bed Management, ED staff, providers and other departments.
