University Hospitals in Parma, Ohio seeks an Emergency Department Patient Access Representative for part-time night shifts (16 hours; 7:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will welcome patients, complete registration, verify insurance, handle calls, and support ED operations to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree (preferred) is a plus.
• 1+ years of Customer Service is required.
• Healthcare customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Mansioni

• Welcome and assist patients and families with empathy, professionalism, and urgency.
• Complete registration, check-in, and discharge processes accurately.
• Verify and update demographic, insurance, and financial information for timely care and billing.
• Answer calls, schedule needs, and general inquiries.
• Assist with enrollment/navigation of MyChart and other tools.
• Communicate important patient information with ED team.
• Collect copays, deductibles, and other balances per policy.
• Assist with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Schedule referrals and follow-ups after ED visits.
• Maintain EPIC documentation and work queues.
