Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs to support safe, reliable service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair, body and frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Must possess a valid CDL (when required).
• Ability to read precision instruments such as micrometers and voltmeters.
• Willing to participate in training classes offered by the company.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures on trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on trucks and trailers; weld as needed.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
