Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet in top condition. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure timely repairs.

You will read precision instruments, use diagnostic tools and weld when required, all while following DOT/EPA/ICC/OSHA standards. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, owns their own tools, and can work in a team-driven environment focused on safety and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance technician or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must supply own tools for job duties.
• Ability to read and record paperwork accurately.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair parts for company equipment as needed.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other failures in trucks and trailers.
• Read precision instruments and use electronic diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on components and systems.
• Weld as needed to complete truck repairs.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations.
