Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to service and repair fleet equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete timely repairs to keep our fleet in top condition.

The role requires reading precision instruments, welding where needed, and adherence to DOT/OSHA guidelines. A valid CDL may be required, and you will need to bring your own tools to work.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent in truck/vehicle repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Valid CDL when required; ability to read and interpret technical manuals and records.

Responsibilities

• Repair company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective manner including preventative maintenance and general repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical or electrical breakdowns on trucks, trailers, or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters, and digital multimeters.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on component parts and systems of trucks and trailers; weld as needed.
