Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly through preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs. You will work on trucks and trailers, interpret precision instruments, and apply regulatory knowledge to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Maintenance technician experience or equivalent education.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools to perform job duties.
• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (when required).
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Ability to read precision instruments and diagnose issues.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns on trucks or related equipment.
• Read precision instruments and utilize electronic diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems.
• Weld horizontally and vertically when applicable.
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulations.
• Perform duties as assigned.
