Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure timely repairs in a fast-paced shop environment.

The role requires reading precision instruments, using a variety of tools, and adhering to DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules. A high school diploma or equivalent, relevant experience, and owning your tools are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School degree or equivalent.
• Experience as maintenance technician or equivalent.
• Experience with truck repair and body/frame repair.
• Must provide own tools.
• Ability to read and record paperwork.
• Possess a valid CDL when required.
• Knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, OSHA rules.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair equipment as required.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other failures.
• Read precision instruments and use diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on trucks and trailers.
• Weld components as needed for repairs.
• Comply with DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain safety and quality while meeting schedules.
