Job summary

Old Dominion Freight Line is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep our fleet running smoothly through preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs. You will work hands-on with trucks and related equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards while upholding our commitment to top-tier service.

Qualifications include a High School degree or equivalent, experience with truck repair, and ability to read precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Build, rebuild and repair all parts of company equipment as may be required in the department
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical or other breakdowns to motors and related equipment
• Read precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, voltmeters and other electronic diagnostic tools
• Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of component parts and systems on trucks, trailers or converters
• Weld horizontally and vertically as needed for converter dolly repairs where applicable
• Apply knowledge of DOT, EPA, ICC, and OSHA rules and regulations
• Must perform all duties as assigned.
