Job summary

US Foods, Inc. is seeking an experienced diesel mechanic for a night shift at our California maintenance facility.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild diesel equipment such as tractors and trailers, performing preventive maintenance per DOT standards. The role requires 3 years of hands-on heavy-duty diesel experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to document repairs using fleet maintenance software.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs
• Able to read and write legibly and perform basic math

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards
• Receive road calls and coordinate with third party vendors and business partners
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and document repairs in fleet software
