Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet equipment in a US Foods facility. You will troubleshoot diesel systems, perform preventive maintenance to DOT standards, and coordinate with vendors on field repairs.

The role requires tooling, documentation, and safety compliance within an onsite schedule. The position offers hourly pay of $38–$40 with potential benefits and opportunities for additional certifications and increased responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy‑duty commercial diesel mechanic.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
• Independent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience administering an appropriate preventive maintenance program.
• Able to read and write legibly and enter information on reports.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete repairs on diesel equipment (tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates).
• Perform preventive maintenance within DOT standards.
• Receive road calls, coordinate with third-party vendors and business partners on action plans.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment per safety rules and regulations.
• Document equipment repairs and parts used using fleet maintenance software.
