Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician for the night shift. You will perform preventative maintenance on tractors, trailers, and reefers, diagnose basic failures, and ensure roadworthy status.

Responsibilities include documenting work orders and servicing onboard computers in a fast-paced environment. Required experience includes 2+ years in medium/heavy-duty repair, with strengths in diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs and diagnostics.
• Experience with air & air disc brakes, electrical troubleshooting, and A/C refrigeration.
• Preferred certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, EPA/DOT, transmissions, engines, ASE Heavy Duty.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units, and identify root causes of basic failures.
• Ensure equipment has current licensing and registration prior to roadworthy status.
• Document repairs and PMs in the online Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Inspect brakes, steering, wheel bearings, and other critical components for safe operation.
