Job summary

Sysco is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and expert diagnosis on company fleet vehicles to minimize downtime and improve reliability. The role requires experience with heavy-duty trucks, electrical and diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

You will inspect, diagnose, repair, and document work while using OEM software and Sysco tools; a valid license and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Medium / Heavy Duty truck technical training.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Annual Inspector Certification, Brake Inspector Certification, ASE certifications (preferred, not required).
• 609 HVAC Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances.
• Perform FAI/CVI inspections on fleet vehicles per regulations.
• Perform quality preventive maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and repair to manufacturer specs (engines, transmissions, electrical, etc.).
• Follow procedures and document work orders.
• Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs and diagnostic tools.
