Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic/Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a diverse fleet to ensure safety and reliability. You will diagnose complex issues across engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and hydraulics, while documenting work thoroughly.

Qualifications

• Formal training in medium/heavy duty truck technology or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned tolerances.
• Conduct annual inspections (FAI/CVI) per regulations for tractors, trailers, and equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to maximize safety and reliability.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Document all work on work orders and maintain accurate records.
• Operate and test electrical and diagnostic equipment; follow safety procedures.
