Job summary

Sysco is seeking a skilled fleet technician to perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy and light vehicles to maximize safety, reliability and uptime. You will follow regulatory standards, document work orders and use Sysco computer programs to diagnose engines, transmissions, electrical systems and brake systems.

The role requires hands-on experience with M/HDTs, lifting heavy components and a safety-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training or equivalent.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-year school plus 1 year of experience or 3 years in fleet maintenance and repair.
• Current and valid driver’s license; ASE certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles within planned time tolerances.
• Conduct Annual inspections on tractors, trailers, and equipment per regulations.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs to manufacturer specs on engines, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Document work performed on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
• Handle electrical and welding tasks as needed and ensure safety compliance.
