Job summary
Sysco Foods is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to ensure safe, reliable vehicles by performing preventive maintenance inspections and expert repairs to reduce downtime. You will diagnose issues on engines, transmissions, electrical, and hydraulic systems, and complete work orders using Sysco software.
Applicants should have heavy-duty truck training, a valid license, and experience in fleet maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training completed.
- 2-year school plus 1 year experience or 3 years fleet maintenance experience.
- Current and valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety and reliability.
- Perform annual inspections on all fleet vehicles per regulations.
- Perform quality maintenance repairs on tractors, trailers, and related equipment.
- Address DVIR write-ups promptly and efficiently.
- Diagnose malfunctions and repair per manufacturer specs across various systems.
- Document all work on work orders and learn Sysco computer programs.
