Job summary
Electrical Automation Services in Glendale, AZ is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for night shift to provide on-site automation support across production lines. This role requires strong PLC/HMI/drive expertise and hands-on leadership in a high-speed manufacturing setting.
You will troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFDs, and servo systems, mentor technicians, and lead controls upgrade projects. A 4+ year background in manufacturing automation is preferred; an associate degree qualifies; relocation
Qualifications
- Associate degree in engineering technology or related field.
- At least four years in industrial automation or controls.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
- Good communication across plant departments.
Responsibilities
- Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
- Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and networks issues.
- Develop and execute controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
- Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
- Maintain PLC/HMI backups, documentation, and drawings.
