Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ facility to serve as the on-shift controls expert.

You will troubleshoot PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and instrumentation issues across high-speed bottling and packaging lines, lead automation projects, and mentor maintenance staff. The role requires an Associate degree in engineering technology or related field and 4+ years in industrial automation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, instrumentation, and networks.
Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
Excellent communication across plant departments.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for automated production, processing, and packaging equipment.
Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, motion-control, and industrial-network issues.
Troubleshoot equipment failures and restore production safely and efficiently.
Maintain PLC and HMI program backups, controls documentation, and electrical drawings.
Support equipment commissioning, controls upgrades, and system integration.
