Job summary

100Hires, Inc. seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to support automation on the Glendale, Arizona site.

You will be the on-shift controls expert, troubleshooting PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues while collaborating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams. You will lead control projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput, mentor technicians, and support equipment commissioning and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology or related field.
• 4+ years of industrial automation or controls experience in food/beverage or high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Willingness to work a 2-2-3 night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting for production equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, and network issues.
• Develop improvements to safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Mentor maintenance technicians and operators.
• Maintain backups and documentation for controls systems.
