Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an experienced Automation & Controls Engineer to support a large, highly automated facility in Glendale, AZ. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, upgrades, and continuous improvement of production equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and robotics.

You will work closely with maintenance, engineering, operations, and OEM vendors to ensure uptime and reliability in a fast-paced environment on the night shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Allen-Bradley PLC experience.
• Experience with HMIs, VFDs, instrumentation and automated control systems.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work with maintenance, engineering, operations and OEM/vendor teams.
• Night-shift availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on automation and controls support for production and process equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and electrical control systems.
• Perform PLC programming, troubleshooting, modifications, and controls optimization.
• Support high-speed automated equipment including fillers, conveyors, packaging equipment, palletizers, and robotics.
• Participate in management-of-change processes and maintain controls documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, operations and vendors.
