Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks a seasoned Controls Engineer for the Glendale, AZ site on a 2-2-3 night schedule (6:00 PM–6:00 AM). You will be the on-shift automation expert supporting high-speed beverage equipment, troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems, and leading controls projects with cross-functional teams.

You will mentor maintenance technicians, maintain documentation, backups, and participate in change management. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in engineering technology, information systems, industrial automation or related discipline.
• At least four years of industrial automation or controls experience in high-speed manufacturing.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and programming capabilities.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary on-shift controls and automation expert.
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting for production, processing, and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, instrumentation, and network issues.
• Develop and lead controls projects to improve safety, quality, reliability, and throughput.
• Support equipment commissioning, upgrades, and system integration.
