Job summary

Emprise Bank is seeking a Computer Operations Specialist to join our technology team. The role focuses on keeping our computer systems effective and efficient, including monitoring batch processes, scheduling jobs, and coordinating testing with Programmers, Systems, and Business Analysts.

Qualifications

College degree or equivalent education with industry experience.
2–3 years experience with basic office products, mainframe systems, networks, OS, applications, hardware and standards.
Familiarity with Python, Java or SQL programming languages.
Hours: Mon–Fri 5:30pm–2:30am.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct file and system errors.
Develop and maintain jobs within automated file-movement software.
Perform data processing operations according to a business production schedule.
Perform backup procedures to reduce data loss risk.
Collaborate with programmers, systems and business analysts to test environments and resolve issues.
Maintain and manage processing logs and run procedure manuals.
Troubleshoot problems for users.
Notify team of system malfunctions.
Monitor scheduler-controlled jobs and edit jobs as needed.
Monitor updates and notify on exceptions such as batch errors.
Manually submit batch processing jobs.
Run application performance management scans.
Process phone requests.
Provide support during business continuity exercises.
Responsible for system and network availability.
