Job summary

Emprise Bank is seeking a Computer Operations Specialist to join our technology team. This role supports critical system availability, manages automated batch jobs, and coordinates testing with programmers and analysts.

The position requires a college degree and familiarity with mainframe systems, Python/Java/SQL, and office tools. Evening shift hours are Monday to Friday, 5:30pm–2:30am, with bilingual shift differential potential.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent education plus industry experience.
• 2-3 years with office products, mainframe systems and network methodologies.
• Familiarity with Python, Java or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct file and system errors.
• Develop and maintain automated file movement jobs.
• Perform data processing according to a production schedule.
• Conduct backups to reduce data loss risk.
• Collaborate with Programmers, Systems and Business Analysts to test and resolve issues.
• Maintain processing logs and run manuals.
• Troubleshoot user problems.
• Monitor scheduler-controlled jobs and update jobs as needed.
• Run system and application updates and notify on exceptions.
• Submit batch processing jobs manually.
• Run application performance scans.
• Process phone requests.
• Support business continuity exercises.
• Ensure system and network availability.
• Other duties as assigned.
