Job summary

Emprise Bank is seeking a skilled IT Operations professional to manage data processing operations and automated job workflows. You will troubleshoot system issues, maintain logs, and coordinate testing across technical teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience with mainframe systems, operating systems, and programming languages such as Python or SQL, plus strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• College degree or level of education that, with industry experience, enables meeting job requirements.
• 2–3 years of experience with basic office products, mainframe systems, network methodology, operating systems, applications, current hardware, best practice protocols, and standards.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, or SQL programming languages.
• Exemplary customer service experience.
• Critical and analytical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and correct file and system errors.
• Develop and maintain jobs within automated file-movement software.
• Perform data processing operations according to a business production schedule.
• Perform backup procedures to reduce the risk of data loss.
• Collaborate with Programmers, Systems Analysts, and Business Analysts to coordinate testing environments and resolve system problems.
• Maintain and manage processing logs and run procedure manuals.
• Troubleshoot problems for users.
• Notify relevant personnel of system malfunctions.
• Monitor jobs controlled by an automated scheduling system, including building and editing jobs from the scheduler.
• Monitor and/or perform system and application updates and notify appropriate personnel of exceptions such as batch processing errors.
• Manually submit batch processing jobs.
• Run application performance management scans.
• Process phone requests.
• Provide support during business continuity exercises.
• Ensure system and network availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job
