Job summary

Peet’s Coffee is hiring a Production Technician for the 3rd shift in Minnesota. You will operate roasting, grinding, or packaging equipment, perform quality checks, and maintain equipment while following food safety standards.

The role involves supervising and training team members, ensuring safety, and meeting production goals. Requires high school diploma or GED and production experience; coffee industry experience is preferred. Hourly wage $20–$22; benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1 year hands-on production experience in a machine technician, machine operator, or production operations leadership role.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow production documentation, work instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic proficiency in math, reading, and written communication.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate standard workplace systems.
• 1 year of coffee industry or food manufacturing experience strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Process coffee as the production schedule demands for roasting, grinding, or packaging.
• Ensure workstation safety and food safety standards are met.
• Complete Quality Control Point monitoring and QA tasks for the station.
• Submit production records for the assigned operating workstation.
• Collaborate to meet production goals while ensuring safety and quality.
• Increase productivity and efficiency without compromising safety or quality.
• Report production, quality, or safety issues to the Roastery Team Lead or Supervisor.
• Advise Engineering on equipment faults for prompt repair or preventive maintenance.
• Train and monitor daily Production Team Members and Temporary Workers.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation for the workstation and facility.
• Participate in workstation development to grow technical abilities.
