Job summary

Good Samaritan in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Nursing Assistant (CNA) for our long-term care residents. This part-time night shift role involves providing resident-centered care, helping with daily living activities, and supporting the nursing team under an RN’s supervision.

The ideal candidate is CNA-certified (or in process) with a commitment to infection control, safety, and compassionate care. Minimum age 16 required; continuing education and competency testing are annual expectations.

Qualifications

• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.
• A minimum age of 16.
• Annual continuing education requirements including competency testing and credits.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Record vital signs and collect non-invasive specimens.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and range of motion exercises.
• Assist with meals and dining to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
