Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a CNA for the MICCU at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The role supports RNs in daily patient care, including bathing, feeding, and mobility. You will document vitals and I&O in the EMR, participate in rounds, and assist with admissions and discharges under supervision.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. The position requires BLS and Nurse Aide registry, GED/HSED or HS diploma, and the ability to work nights with every other weekend and

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, hygiene, feeding, and ambulation.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, and chart data in EMR.
• Performs rounding and communicates patient observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge processes under RN supervision.
• Collects specimens and participates in point‑of‑care testing as indicated.
• Performs errands, restocks nursing area, and maintains equipment and work areas.
• Manages patient positioning and transport under supervision; supports nutrition and skin care needs.
• Maintains infection prevention practices and uses PPE as required.
• Demonstrates age‑specific knowledge to provide appropriate patient care.
