Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the PACU at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. This full-time role is 40 hours weekly with four 10-hour shifts and rotating start times between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM.

The position pays $20.80–$31.20 per hour and requires BLS and a state Nurse Aide registration. Responsibilities include assisting RNs with patient care, documenting in the EMR, coordinating admissions/discharges, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide in good standing as indicated with the State Registry.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care and document vital signs in EMR.
• Support admission/transfer/discharge under RN supervision and prepare patient room.
• Perform purposeful rounds and communicate patient needs to RN.
• Assist with nutrition, positioning, skin care and supply maintenance.
• Collect specimens and perform point-of-care testing as directed.
