Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support ICU patients on the night shift in Manitowoc County, Wisconsin. The role involves hands-on patient care, routine vital signs, and collaboration with registered nurses in a busy ICU setting.

Night shifts run 1830-0700 with 3-12 hour shifts per week and rotating weekends/holidays. Requires BLS and Nurse Aide in good standing; HS diploma or GED/HSED accepted. Benefits eligible; full-time position.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications (DNV/CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activities, and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and daily weights; records in EMR.
• Performs rounding under RN supervision and communicates observations.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes with room setup and patient belongings.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated; maintains competency.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; cleans areas and supports patient positioning and transfers.
