Advocate Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for night shift duties in a hospital unit. The role requires CNA certification, and registration with the Division of Health Service Regulation with clean standing. CPR/BCLS certification is required.

Position includes clerical duties, patient support, and maintaining a safe, respectful care environment across age groups. The job is full-time, night shift with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) required.
• Division of Health Service Regulation registration with no substantiated findings.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or CPR required.
• High school senior or high school graduate (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Completes clerical duties for patient admissions and assembling of medical records.
• Ensures complete, confidential, accurate and timely communication of patient information.
• Handles and screens incoming calls, and transmits messages as necessary.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers, patients and family members in an effective, positive and professional manner.
• Contributes to a safe, secure and therapeutic environment for patients, visitors, physicians and co-workers by following established procedures.
• Conducts work in an organized, quiet, efficient manner and demonstrates ability to cope with stressful situations.
• Performs NA1+4 skills within the guidelines of medical facilities NA-1 Enhancer Program.
• Provides or assists the patient with personal hygiene, comfort, and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Completes assigned unit responsibilities and assists other staff members in completion of their duties when time permits.
• Provides age/developmental appropriate patient care in accordance with Age/Developmental Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.
