Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, AZ is seeking a licensed CNA/LNA to join the PCU 4th Floor team as a Patient Care Assistant on the night shift. The position runs three 12-hour shifts weekly (6:00pm–6:30am) with rotating weekends and holidays.

A $3,000 sign-on is available for eligible/licensed candidates, and Banner supports ongoing career pathways. You will perform routine patient care, assist with ADLs, collect vital signs, and document in the EMR while coordinating with licensed staff

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CNA certification in state of practice is required.
• BLS certification is required for new hires.
• Approximately 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities are essential.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient health.
• Collect data including vital signs and input/output measurements.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition to licensed staff.
• Perform procedures and use equipment under licensed supervision.
• Support unit operations and handle receptionist/clerical tasks.
• Maintain and file patient records and ensure documentation is complete.
• Manage supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover tasks as assigned.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on patient care and service.
