Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Certified Patient Care Assistant to join the Surgical PCU team at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ. You will provide routine patient care, data collection, and unit support in a high-acuity environment.

This full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am) includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus for licensed CNA or LNA, rotating weekends/holidays, and applicable differential pay. Join a Magnet-recognized team focused on compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Current BLS certification and CNA license in state of practice required.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience preferred or related customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic hygiene.
• Collect vital signs and document data in medical records.
• Report abnormalities to licensed staff and communicate patient status.
• Perform delegated procedures (e.g., blood draws, urinary catheter removal, EKGs).
• Provide receptionist/clerical support to ensure unit efficiency.
• Maintain patient records, forms, and education materials.
• Manage supplies and track equipment use and location.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover when needed.
• Work under supervision in a fast-paced setting with a focus on customer service.
