Job summary

Banner Baywood Medical Center in East Mesa, AZ, seeks a Patient Care Assistant to provide routine nursing support in a fast-paced Medical Surgical unit. Responsibilities include vitals, hygiene, mobility, and charting in the EMR.

The role requires a CNA with current BLS certification and strong organizational skills. Both full-time and part-time day shifts are available with weekend/holiday rotations and a $1,500–$3,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS certification.
• CNA certification in state of practice is required for new hires and transfers.
• 1 year of medical clerical experience or related customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine patient care to promote comfort and contribute to the patient care plan.
• Collect vital signs and document data in the medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Assist with patient hygiene and nutrition as needed.
• Transcribe and process physician orders in the EMR under supervision.
• Maintain supplies and assist with unit coordination and turnover.
• Transport patients as needed and support OR room turnover.
• Communicate patient status to the care team for continuity of care.
• Support reception/clerical duties to ensure smooth department operations.
