Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, Arizona is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) for the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU). This is a full-time night-shift role, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a night differential and a weekend differential.

Located next to Banner Baywood Medical Center, this unit specializes in post-operative cardiovascular recovery.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
Current BLS certification.
Current CNA in state of practice.
1 year of medical clerical experience or related patient care experience.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living to promote patient comfort and mobility.
Collect vital signs, inputs/outputs, and other measurements; document in EMR.
Report abnormalities to licensed professional and ensure continuity of care.
Perform procedures and use equipment as delegated by licensed staff (e.g., EKGs, patient transport).
Handle receptionist/clerical duties to support department workflow.
Maintain patient records, admission/transfer/discharge data, and chart forms.
Monitor supplies and assist with order placement and inventory control.
Assist with patient transport including pre- and post-operative movement as needed.
Work under supervision in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
