Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Clinical Associate for 36 hours per week on the night shift. The role supports nursing staff by performing essential care tasks and basic procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, transporting patients and supplies, specimen handling, and basic point-of-care testing. Requires a high school diploma and BLS; CNA or related clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• Must have one of: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); Nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation; Three months of clinical care experience; Completion of Winchester Hospital Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Repositioning and ambulating patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Assist in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Accurately perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Assist with Foley catheters and saline locks.
