Responsibilities

• Provide both clinical and administrative assistance on the unit.
• Perform basic procedures for patient care including ADLs, ambulation, bed handling, transport, specimen handling, vital signs, and EKGs.
• Welcomes and orients patients, family members and significant others to the environment.
• Provides administrative support for the unit and staff so patient care team can concentrate on care.
• Maintains accurate medical charts and forms, and coordinates paperwork within hospital departments and with outside sources.
