Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Winchester Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate to support patient care on a 3,12-hour night schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotations. Under nursing supervision, you’ll perform basic procedures to aid patient comfort, safety, and care, including ADLs, vitals, specimen handling, and routine blood product management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• CNA
• Nursing student with one clinical rotation or 3 months of clinical care experience
• Successful completion of Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP)

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Repositioning and ambulating patients
• Making an occupied and unoccupied bed
• Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment
• Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens
• Retrieving and signing out blood products
• Accurately performs point of care testing
• Obtains vital signs and weights
• Maintains accurate intake and output measurements
• Removes Foley catheters and saline locks
