Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, seeks a Clinical Associate for 3, 12-hour night shifts per week with every other weekend and holiday requirements. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, repositioning, bed making, transporting patients, specimens, blood products, point-of-care testing, vitals, and intake/output.

Requirements: high school diploma preferred and BLS; CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation or CATP completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification.
• CNA or nursing student with rotation or 3 months of clinical care, or completion of CATP.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Repositioning and ambulating patients.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Assist in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing.
• Obtain vital signs and weights.
• Maintain intake and output measurements; remove Foley catheters and saline locks.
