Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) is seeking a Clinical Associate at Winchester Hospital to support patient care on a 36-hour weekly night shift with weekend and holiday rotations. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, transporting patients, collecting specimens and performing point-of-care testing under nurse supervision.

Required: High school diploma; BLS certification; CNA or nursing student with clinical rotation; 3 months of clinical care experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients and staff.
• Current BLS Basic Life Support certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for patients.
• Reposition and ambulate patients; assist with bed mobility.
• Make occupied and unoccupied beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies and equipment as needed.
• Collect, label and transport specimens.
• Retrieve and sign out blood products as required.
• Conduct point-of-care testing accurately.
• Obtain vital signs and weights; monitor inputs/outputs.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks as directed.
