Job summary

Banner Health in Casper, Wyoming seeks a Certified Patient Care Assistant to provide routine patient care on the med/surg unit during the full-time night shift (3 12-hour shifts, 6:00pm–6:30am).

Expect duties include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, data documentation, and EKGs, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining patient records. BLS and CNA credentials are required, with strong communication and organizational skills essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient comfort and contribute to the patient care plan.
• Collects patient data including vitals and I/O per unit policy.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the licensed professional.
• Assist with procedures such as blood draws, catheter removal, EKGs, and monitoring.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support for department operations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charts.
• Manage supplies and requisitions for unit needs.
• Assist with patient transport and OR turnover as assigned.
• Operate under supervision with a focus on customer service.
