Job summary

Banner Health’s Casper, WY unit is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift (3 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM) in the Progressive Care Unit. You will support nursing teams, assist with ADLs, charting, EKGs, and patient transport, while training in ECG interpretation and unit procedures.

The role emphasizes patient care, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with physicians and staff. BLS and CNA credentials are required, with potential onboarding benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice is required for new hires.
• Requires skills and abilities typically attained with 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in activities of daily living and completes necessary tasks to promote patient health.
• Collects patient specimens and data, including vital signs and input/output.
• Recognizes and reports abnormalities and/or changes in the patient’s health status to a licensed professional.
• Performs procedures and uses equipment as delegated by a licensed professional.
• Maintains complete patient records and ensures chart forms are filed and accessible.
• Maintains adequate levels of office, dietary, and medical supplies and assists in ordering supplies.
