Cheney Brothers in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Shuttle Driver for night shifts (Sun–Fri). The role involves transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, following DOT rules and safety guidelines.

The position requires a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+ years of age, clean MVR, and ability to lift 60–90 pounds. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year or more commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Work on 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment to move freight up to 90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to route schedule.
• Turns around and delivers full trailers with products to domicile/shuttle yards.
• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Keeps paperwork and logs up to date per DOT and company requirements.
• Performs general housekeeping in tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.
