Job summary

Cheney Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Florida to move empty trailers to warehouse locations and turnaround to deliver full trailers to domicile yards. You will operate tractor/trailer equipment across intrastate and interstate routes while complying with DOT regulations and maintaining safety.

The night shift runs Sunday through Saturday with one day off weekly. A CDL A with Doubles Endorsement and a clean MVR are required; 12 months of driving experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with Doubles Endorsement is required.
• Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid DOT Health Card and ability to obtain one if needed.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Able to work 3rd shift, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedules vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Inspect equipment and secure freight.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to route schedule.
• Complete daily hours-of-service logs.
• Maintain clean and safe loading dock areas.
• Handle paperwork and damages/returns.
